About

Harlow Events has been creating boutique music festivals on the South Coast since 2016. The future for us is to take what we know and bring it to life in Kiama. By growing the unique formula that we created at our previous events, our vision is to create the most popular, respected and unique boutique music and food festival on the South Coast that promotes local sustainability’s and charities.
The event will create a moment in the music industry that will make Kiama a recognised and sought-after destination for acclaimed artists, music lovers and foodies which will also generate a nursery for home grown talent and business.

Location

Two hours south of Sydney, Kiama, named from the Wodi Wodi word “Kiarama,” meaning “where the sea makes a noise”, sets the scene for Changing Tides. Pristine beaches, dramatic headlands and salty ocean energy create a surfer’s playground and the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable music festival.
Changing Tides takes the stage at the historic Kiama Showgrounds, home to the Kiama Rugby Club and Kiama Knights.

Sustainability

Sustainability means leaving a positive footprint and creating the best conditions for people now and in the future. At Changing Tides, we’re building more sustainable festivals by investing in local businesses and communities and staying mindful of our impact on Kiama’s coastline and environment. We’ll keep raising the bar each year and push for a better festival with a lighter footprint and a stronger community.

Our Commitments

  • Zero-landfill goal: Design waste out of the event and divert what’s left to composting and recycling.
  • Green Team (“Waste Warriors”): Friendly volunteers on site to help you sort waste and answer questions.
  • Leave No Trace: If you bring it in, take it out. Use the bins, don’t leave anything behind
  • Plastics reduction: Phase out single-use plastics across bars and vendors.
  • Refill over landfill: Free water refill stations – please BYO empty bottle.
  • Food rescue: Surplus food collected at the end of each day and redirected via local partners.
  • Smarter power: Prioritise efficient generators, battery/solar hybrids and energy metering to cut fuel use.
